i picked some up today at a show, but only in a square foot i think. Does anybody else use it? I would like to get it in bulk and use as a substrate. I have it on a section of my tank and it looks great.

I'm pretty sure that www.blackjungle.com stocks them.

There's another site specializing in pesticide free osses for terrariums-- home.att.net/~a.j.calisi/moss.html Pretty expensive though.

Well i know there not the best, but i was kind of in a hurry. That tube in the back is for a waterfall, but i need to make some quick adjustments to work just right. I do have one of it before i made the last changes, so ill put that up.

That's really gorgeous! Can you please tell us where you ended up getting the moss from?

Thanks! well the moss i used i got from a guy named TJ at a show, he didnt have a website or anything. But for my next tank, ill either be ordering from frogmoss.org, or buying a few sq. feet from the same guy at the next show.

Also, what are those seed like things at the bottom of your vivarium? Do they help with drainage?

seeds...you mean thos orange clay balls? yeah, those help with drainage, and raises the substrate above the water level if you want to make a river or something. What it does, is allow the extra moisture to drain to the bottom, and then the water evaporates from below, going back into the substrate, keeping it moist but not soaked. Its great for plants. I probably could have gotten away with using alot less, but its my first try at one like this.

http://www.blackjungle.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=TL-10&Category_Code=SUB&Store_Code=BJTS - enough for a 10 gal

http://www.blackjungle.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=BJTS&Product_Code=TL-20&Category_Code=SUB 20 i believe

http://www.blackjungle.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=TL-55&Category_Code=SUB&Store_Code=BJTS 1/2 a cubic foot...i used all of it for that tank (29) just to give you an idea....

If you want it elsewhere, you can get it under the name of LECA or Terra-lite.

Hi, I have some available. There's no pesticides on it, or other additives since it's grown in my own yard. How much exactly are you looking for?
