I was curious if this is like CGD? or is this only a treat, to change things up a bit? Also is it good to use with gargoyle geckos as well as cresties? Or should i just stick with CGD for both cresties and gargs? Thank you!

Clarks diet is like CGD in a sense, but it is not supposed to be used as a complete diet, or MRP. As long as you feed crickets/other live prey 1+ times a week, it will be fine.

As Brian said this needs to be fed with crickets.  I just wanted to chime in and say that my day geckos absolutely LOVE this stuff (and they get fed bugs along with it)

I was feeding Clark's Diet for a while, but soon got tired of crickets, so now I'm back to CGD  Roll Eyes. He did come out with a MRP recently, though it hasn't been tested nearly as much as CGD, so I wouldn't trust that it is indeed a MRP until he has fed it full time for a few generations and had positive results (no offense).

I love clarks, that is what I had before CGD MRP. All of the geckos would clean the bowel every time. I usually just use it as a treat now and then, but I'm out of it now. Don't know if I will order more or not.
Also, I had to add a lot of calcium to it (no D3).

I've used it when my gex get sluggish about the CGD.  They like the little variation from time time.  I do feed crickets all the same. Just for stimulation purposes.  They love to stalk and hunt them and since I have other insect eating herps around it's no biggie.  They are there anyway.

i just got a bunch of clarks diet.  a different person is now making it.  would this be the complete meal, or is clark now doing the new meal, and this new person is doing the traditional clarks?  i decided to try clarks because i am tired of my geckos growing very slowly.... especially the hatchlings and juvies... not to mention my females who are laying eggs.  i LOVE cgd, and my geckos are healthy, but i don't think they eat much.  i give occasional crickets.  now i am going to try to do clarks, cgd, AND crickets at least once or twice a week.

MY QUESTION:  will my geckos avoid the cgd altogether and hold out for the clarks?  i'm just glad to see that they're excited about eating... but don't want sick geckos down the road.   ?

QUESTION #2:  should i be adding cal to the clarks?  if that's the case, why didn't clark just add more cal to the meal in the first place?
thanks,

Its the same mixture and now Patrick Papara (http://www.pmpreptiles.com/) is making it.  Clark turned it over to him for personal reasons.  Clarks + crickets once a week does the trick but if your doing this make sure and dust the crickets!!!  Its a must!!!  Geckos do grow slow and they go through large growth spurts so be patient.  Switching them from CGD to Clarks isnt going to make them grow much faster.

I dont think they will but you mighnt try alternating between diets or something.  Ive never switched to clarks with my crested geckos.  I feed clarks/lgd to leachies/chahoua.

No, the dusting on the crickets will take care of that

i just receivied some a couple of days ago.  I will let you know how the clan takes to it.  I also got rose and fig 2-part CGD to switch it up a bit.  Some of my clan like the rose  and the others don't seem impressed.  Haven' t tried the fig yet.
