I do, I only use organic baby food.  I don't use the other stuff due to the added sugars and other things.

They probably switched to the bag because it would be cheaper than the container..

Yep. The bag fits in an envelop, the jug goes in a box.

BE WARNED though, I was completey expecting to get a "jug" of the stuff like everyone's been saying, but it's now packaged in a resealable bag. I think that change came with the new mixture. I was pretty bummed to not get a container because now I have to go out and buy something, but it doesn't change the diet so I'm still happy with it.

I actually designed the labels for the new bags.  The bags don't have anything to do with the new formula...the new formula has been out for six months now, but the resealable bags just started about a month ago.  The reason Allen went with the bags is due to storage space.  Bags lay flat when stored, but the big containers don't...and when you have a thousand of them in storage, it makes a big difference.  Bottom line, it keeps the cost of the diet down, which I'm all for.

In fact, T-Rex is actually going with resealable bags and getting away from the containers for the same reason.

The bag is resealable, so there really isn't any reason (aside from personal preference) why you would need to put it into a container.

The cost going down is definately a big plus. I haven't gotten a big bag yet, but definately will in the future.

This is going to sound silly/stupid, but where can I go to order the new CGD?  The stores where I'm at have the small jars only.

Also, how much should I be feeding them?  And how often?  What I mix together totals about the size of 3 baby spoons and doesn't seem to get eaten.  Once mixed I tend to "hand feed them" and they'll lick some (sometimes more often than others) and then not touch it at all.

Also, I notice that they don't seem to eat the crickets (have large gut loaded ones and also some gut load in the terrarium so the crickets eat it in there too).  I've seen some carcasses.

The geckos are eating (feces are found and when I have them out the boy is guranteed to poop within 5 minutes...either on the bed or on my boyfriend), so I'm not too concerned, I just don't want to overfeed or underfeed them and make sure they get all they need.

Also....I have calcium that I dust the crickets with, should I add some to the CGD also since they don't seem to be eating the crickets?

You can get the bigger jars/bags at lllreptile.com, mg reptiles and pangea.

I feed them all the cgd they will eat.? I give enough where it's almost all gone by the next day.

it doesnt need any extra calcium added.? It is mixed with enough already in there.

I'll have to try the new diet.  It was always a pain getting them to take the old stuff.   They do eat the Clarke's diet with no problem and the only way they ever ate the old diet was mixed with babyfood.  Definitely willing to give a shot though.

I have decided to stop feeding crickets, and am monitoring weight loss/gain very methodically.  It's only been about two weeks, so I will keep you all informed on my results with the new diet.

i cant wait to get a smaller size of the new diet....i cant justify a 2lb bag just yet, only 3 cresteds and 1 auric, so the biggest i would get is the 1lb

mine eat the clarks just fine, but id really like to move away from it now
