Exo-terra cages

I am getting the largest size of the exo-terra cage to house a new male, and eventually my female in. Can anyone give me any feedback on it?

They are nice cages, my favorite. The only problem is that not enough airflow gets to the bottom of the cage and it tends to mold pretty easy. You just have to keep an eye out for mold.

What are they made of anyways? And do you all think that I'd be better off buying a plastic cage anyways? Thanks!

I am using the largest for a male right now...i really like it. i have another housing two juvies and so far have had no problems with either. For the Larger, i got the stand that you could get for it, and it helps alot...i just wanted to try it out. Its pricey but i think i might get one for for the smaller one also. The only problem i have had is crickets getting behind the wall in the larger...i guess its too top heavy so it falls forward enough to allow crickets in the back.
Oh, another thing. Sometimes the doors will get squeky but some mineral oil fixes that

I've actually used these for a frog tank. Never really had a mold problem. The entire top is screened and there is ventilation on the sides too.

I have 2 and I love them! I was actually checking them out before I even knew what I would put in them. I liked the looks of them and the idea of seeting up a natural viv. Shortly after I got my first pair I bought the XL wide. I have since then bought anothe, the XL. I'd like to eventually have all my cresties in them.

Maybe I should be posting this in the 'Hot Deals' section, but at my local Petsmart they're really cheap, even the big one. Speaking of which, about how many can the big one house? Thanks again!!!

the largest is 24x18x24....that comes out to 45 gallons. 4 is probably the max....but i think thats pushing it.

well it all depends. I stupidly ordered mine off of bigappleherps.com and the prices were iffy....i didnt really compare it to others alot...but it was the only place i could find one. it costed around 350 i think including shipping. shipping was more than the thing it self! (im not so sure on the price though..it was a while ago)
i later found out that my local pet store could order it, and get ir for retail price, free shipping!
I wasted so much money...

I personally like the zoo med ones instead of the exo-terra one because of the one opening in the front.i think it looks better than having a line down the middle of the front of the cage but thats just my opinion and i have 2.one of them is the 12x12x12 and the other one is a 18x18x18 and they work great for me.I just like having one door instead of 2 doors.but both are really good cage designs.

theyre okay...but i couldnt find the prices. The only thing is the dimensions im looking for. The ones im looking into is this...
apcages.com
go on the left side of the screen and click on Arboreal Cages. Im deciding inbetween the first and second for a Rhacodactylus Chahoua...im not sure to go with the screen or solid. Im thinking the solid sides. But again, its really pricey.

shipping for this one is 40. So its the same price but $1 more. If you go with the solid sides with screen top. The screen sides are more like 320. And with the APcages.com one you can get a whole bunch of things built in! (i.e. key-lock for doors, belly heat, two different flouresent bulb fixtures colors--black or white--, or an internal heat shroud)
not sure what te internal heat shroud is..but have you decided on one yet? let me know which one you get and how it works out!

I decided to get Showcase. I would have gotten Animal Plastics, but it would have taken too long.
