It sounds like you don't know much about cresteds yet. If your cresteds are not adults yet, i would recommend you separate
them in two 10 gal min. or 20 gal max. aquariums. Turn the aquariums up on end with paper towels as substrate with plenty of branches/vines/plants to hide in. Mist them twice a day(morning and evening) and keep temperatures between 68- 80 max...YOU DON'T WANT THEM ANY HOTTER THAN 80. While it is not a must, i recommend keeping a water dish in it.

Meanwhile, if you search through some of the new and older topics here, you will find a wealth of information, and feel free to ask specific questions. This forum is friendly to newbies and novices....like me Grin

we use aquariums. we use papertowel for substrate.. its alot easier to find eggs that way. We have a few branches for climbing on. Lots of hiding places and leaves. The lay box is a tupperware container with that coconut fiber stuff with a little hide over it.. you could just cut  hole in the lid but i dont know i just liek this better,

I would take markNcc's advice about just furnishing as you would if you weren't breeding.  Crested geckos are fairly easy to breed.  As long as they are the proper size and weight, and have ample places to hide so they can remain stress-free, nothing should really be different than what you already have.  Make sure they have plenty of branches so they can remain active and mimic their natural behaviour.

As far as the lay box, my female once laid eggs in the soil of a potted plant in her vivarium with no adverse effects.  There was only about 2-3" of space on either side of the plant.   I place a small tupperware container (about 4" across) with fresh moistened peat under one of the hide boxes.  Make sure you don't make mud out of the peat.  You can even add a little play sand to the mixture to prevent it being too moist  It should be moist not wet.  It will hold moisture well, and you don't want it to be an incubation medium.  You should remove the eggs within 24-48 hours of your female laying them and place it in vermiculite to improve your chances.  A too wet medium will kill the eggs fairly quickly, so again, don't keep your egg box medium too moist.

Sorry about the missunderstanding Embarrassed

I would set them up no differently than you would if it were just your pet, maybe with the exception of the lay box  Tongue
And i would put no more than 2, maybe 3 females with one male.....if you only have 1 female (like i do), give her plenty of rest.....she's gonna need it Cheesy
