Hope this is the right place to post this. I'm having trouble keeping the humidity where I would like it. I was thinking about getting a fogger, well more specifically the fogger volcano thing I've seen online. But I would appreciate hearing some experience/opinions about it.   Thanks.

Edit for spelling errors.

is your tank all glass, all screen or a mix?
many times placeing a towl over some of the screen will fix the problem.

i've never used a fogger so i'm not much help there.  Tongue

Thanks for the reply. Right now my crested geckos are young, and in a kritter keeper. One recently lost some toe tips. I have been misting 2-3 times a day, and I have them near my fish.
I'm in the process of putting a larger enclosure together for them, that will be mostly glass.

i had one of those fogger before (not in a crested cage though)and i thought it was more of a pain that it was worth. The think made so much fog that it would use up all the water within hours and then i would have to worry about it running dry and causeing a problem like starting a fire or somthing....

hurmm...shedding issues in a kritter keeper are rare for me...
steve (i think?) has had problems with them. what's your climate like? are they next to a heater?

for the time being, you can grab a deli cup & lid, fill with water, and punch small holes in the top. that way water can get out, and gecko can't get in. also a small hand towel over half the top should help keep it in.

We have not had the heater on at all until today. I like to keep house in the low 70's. Everyone else seems to think I have too many fish tanks.
Got a moist hide for them now. Will try to cloth too.

My idea for the fogger was to have it on a timer (in the enclosure that I'm getting ready), so that it would go off for a while (still to be determined) a few times a day.

Never though about that type of humidifier. The hubby is rather discouraging about me fixing/making things myself. Not that I'm not capable, just that I am a woman & we don't own many tools. So therefore I should not try.

Do you have a fan running?  that can dry up the tanks too.  maybe a heavier misting will work.

Sorry, I still need to work on putting what I mean into words.
I get fusterated with my hubby when he says I should not try to do things.
