Here is "Makare". (S)he is my 13 year old step-daughter's crested gecko. "Makare" is staying at my house for quarentine purposes. I wouldn't even know what kind of morph it is. I'm not good at identifying type of morphs. All I know, is that my daughter and I love the look on "Makare".?

Here is "Makare" somewhat fired up. She gets to be this bright orange-type color. I have two of her clutch-mates (last two photos).

That gecko is insane.

Pattern wise, it's got some tiger/brindle looking stuff going on the sides and a partial pinstripe pattern on the back.  That's really a nice combination on any gecko, but the color on that one is outstanding.

Color wise, I don't even know what color I would call that, to be perfectly honest.  It looks young, so the color still has some changing to do...but I have to say, the color looks like it should turn out awesome, whatever it is.

That gecko is a looker.

Thank you.

I bought "Cebu" and "Taz" two weeks prior to getting "Makare". I thought I got the last two in the enclosure at the pet store. We went back to see if the pet store got any more Crested Geckos. My step-daughter wanted another Crested Gecko for her 13th birthday. As we were checking out the reptiles, "Makare" jumped out to eat one of the crickets that was in her/his enclosure. Jessica (my step-daughter) saw it first and said she wanted it....so I got it for her.

I was a little 'miffed' (LOL) that I didn't see "Makare" two weeks ago when I got her clutch(?)/tank mates ("Cebu" and "Taz"). I just couldn't believe I missed seeing her/him.? The color and pattern of the gecko was what attracted us.? My step-daughter likes to rub it in a little (well a lot Wink Undecided) in how I missed seeing her/him 2 weeks prior.?

We're hoping "Makare" turns out to be female. We're interested in breeding our geckos sometime next year.  So far, the color is staying the way it is in the first 3 photos above.? "Makare's" belly and throat area is like a tangerine orange with a touch of red. Its weird. Then again, the color could change in a couple months, but I have a feeling that the color will only get richer.

Makare looks like a brindle with some white fringe to me. (Note: lacking the white fringe on the legs)  It'd be really hard to pinpoint a single identification for that gecko! Very awesome colors on all your geckos!  I tell you, it's really hard to let some go.  I like 'em all!  Hehe.
