I've been trying to figure out what i want to keep all these geckos i'm aquiring in. So show me what you keep yours in, especially larger systems, commercial systems and racks. Post ur displays too.
So far i've got my 5 juvies in an 18x18x24 exoterra tank a few adult females in a 25g flat back hex and the rest are critter cages of various sizes, the extra large being my favorite and what i will probably use for most of my adult males.

Here is my favorite--a 67 galllon screen enclosure that I have 2 sides covered with plastic wrap, eco-earth substrate, decorated with live and artificial plants, cork bark, and moss.

Here's what I have right now, but I'm working on getting some additional cages. This is just a brief look, lol. Babies up to juveniles get their own critter keepers. I have several sizes of keepers from mini's to large and each houses just ONE gecko. I'm pretty set on keeping my geckos separate although alot of people will raise their young up together. Here is an example of one of my shelves. My Breeders go into the largest Exo-Terras or the Crested Gecko (Reptile Depot) cages. Exo-Terras on the bottom, Crested Gecko cages on top. I keep larger juviniles in kritter keepers on top of the Crested Gecko cages. (Got to use up all available room!) Quarantine tanks are used in another room, to house new geckos. I use 20 gal high tanks, set up on end with screen lids as doors. These work really well for housing and don't take up as much space as the other cages. This is what works for me! I'm trying to keep all of my geckos in one room with the exception of the quarantine geckos and my satanics. One of these days I may just have to move everyone into the basement.?

I really like my exo-terra 18 by 18 by 24. Although, I had to remove the rock background, the crickets were getting behind it, and I also want to get a sturdier chicken wire screen to go on top for added security. (The new screen will be added in conjunction with the existing screen.) I also need to remove the bed a beast because it molds up way too quickly and I found a centipede in it once. I'm not sure if centipedes would be poisonous to juvenile cresteds but I'm not taking any chances.

Yeah, first of all. Don't use bed a beast or that kind of stuff for juvies or babies, they can become impacted too easy. And I used a layer of perlite then a piece of screen and then a layer of peat moss. I don't get any mold because the perlite drains the water. For juvies and babies, only use paper towels or newspaper.

Sterlite containers have never done me wrong. As my collecton grows, I plan on housing each gecko individually. This will allow me to monitor each gecko on a one to one basis, a valuable ability, IMO. Here's a pic of how I keep my 3.

For the price of an adequate glass aquarium, I can house all of my rhacs individually. You just can'e beat that. When I add some more geckos to my collecton I'm going to build a shelf structure outfitted with flexwatt heat. It should be pretty cool.

My substrate is non adhesive shelf liner with Microban ? Antimicrobial Protection. I use Chlorhexidine (aka Nolvasan) diluted down to %0.08 in a spray bottle to disinfect everything (geckos are removed to prevent burns to their eyes and ear membranes). and a close up of two of my cresteds lounging in the silk foliage

You can buy Exo-Terras at Petco. However, they are over priced over there by at least $25-35. I bought several of mine at my local reptile expo for much less ($50 for a 12x12x18). Some online reptile supply stores have them too, but the shipping will probably kill you. Try Maxpet.com.

Sterlite is a name brand, like Rubbermaid. You can get them at Dollar general, Family Dollar, Wal Mart or other places like that

I have to lock the door from my cats... yes they can open doors? exactly why i don't use those "L Clips" anymore. one of my cats is clever enough to open the cupboards and bathroom door. my house humidity if pretty okay because i live really close to the bay, i have navy boats and tugboats as the scenic view? i mist 2-3 times a day on the mesh tanks, have a damp hide and extra shallow water bowl inside. the glass tanks i don't have all the extras, just misting. but yes, i do have to watch for mold on the walls. someone told me once about putting up aquarium backing on the walls to stop them from getting damp, i did try it and it defiantly helped. it's been snowing and the weathers been just throwing a fit here so i've had to turn on an extra floor heater which has brought the humidity down a lot. so Right now misting more then normal and everyone has a damp hide.

I'm not sure which size they are but I think it's the 32 gallon It's on the scanning label but i didnt really look at it when I took it off. It's about 2 feet long, one and a half feet wide and one and a half feet tall.

yep.? just screen and duck tape. i use gutter guard on some too and i use a glue gun for the inside part just to be extra careful that the tape doesnt come loose. THe duck tape I have is cheap and needs a little extra to hold it to the top.

It's outside in our shed right now. It looks exactly the same as the screen mesh but it's a little stronger and comes in a roll from Lowes or Home Depot. I paid $8 for the roll and you can probably male around 10 or more tops with it.

well that was interesting. mine looks less then square on top. i'll polly try to con my boyfriend into making the top hole bigger & straighter. me and the exact-o-knife aren't good friends. i used the dog & cat claw proof screen because i have lots of the left over from other projects. not bad for a first attempt and pretty cheap housing. Fred Myer had the container for $9.76 (with tax).

Nice "ghetto" home for your cresties! I have one for one of my snakes until I build her her permenant home. We ended up using a hand saw to cut ours after breaking the blades of 2 boxcutters (the heavy duty yellow ones).

This is Anton/Angelina's new terrarium (from the white plains show... still needs some work... like some more folliage & a stand...).? It's a 30x18x24 (approx 70g).? Anton really loves the new space (if you look close enough, you can see her sleeping in a plant). And this is Harley's terrarium:

I love using aquariums and prefer them to sterilite containers. IMO they look a lot better and because of their construction can be set up in different ways. I have my hatchling/juvi's in 10 gallon's turned vertically and my adults in 20/29's set horizontally.
