Hi, had a small colection of select crested morphs and now i want to breed them on a large scale.  I would like some tips from you big breeders if that is ok.
I have someone who knows how to make plastic tubs and can get any size so what is the best size to hold a breeding group of cresteds?
also how many females to one male in a cage?
what is the most economical way to feed them? (ledges, cups)
how long is the breeding season for your females?
thanks
Derek

all this is answered at cilistus.com, Anothony is one of the biggest breeders around.

not entirely sure what size of scale you are talking about...most of the "small time" hobbyists produce a good number of geckos. how many geckos are you looking at investing into?

and FYI, this site also has a search function which should also answer most your questions.
glad to see you've owned them a while as pets before just jumping to breeding Smiley

got this rack at Target for like $35, on sale. adjustable shelving. the bins are from Walmart and the largest bins go for about $5-$6.

for that size, poke around the racks on ciliatus.com.
i have 60-ish (last count) geckos. the breeder rack by animal plastics has been very nice, and the small kritter keeper rack is great too.
i have two metro racks that are crazy handy for misc glass cages and temporary set-ups.
i would love to have a rack of cages similar to those at reptiledepot or the new zilla cages. i see that in my future, plus at least one more breeding rack. the younge ones are growing.
Anthony has prmoised production of rack for the large size kritter keepers. i'm on the fence because i am more then filled with sub adults and that rack would be great NOW, so if it dosn't hit the market soon i'll be building my own before the month is up.

for my geckos i have:
1 animal plastics breeder rack (holds 5- 66 qt tubs)
2 small kritter keeper racks (holds 9 small kritter keeper each)

2 metro racks holding these tanks:
5- 22 to 30 gallon glass
5- 10 gallon glass
5 large kirtter keepers
4 66 qt tubs
4 20 qt tubs

this is all in my bedroom. if i had the option for a reptile room i'd be all over it. the only reason i don't have more tanks is because i'm running out of sleeping space (sick huh Tongue).
